It was last year, but I remember it like if it was yesterday. I was depressed, having a breakdown, and on top of that, it was summer and I absolutely hated my body and wearing a bikini. For all those years that my family, friends, and strangers bullied me because of my weight and because I wasn't feminine. Then one day, one of my friends sent me a TikTok video with the song one and only, so I started researching it. And that's when I heard imma be for the first time that I felt like a ray of sunshine had fallen on me. Especially the part of the lyrics that says I'm riding on the wall of prejudice I'm walking on the rain And I'm dancing on the pain and 멀쩡한 척 그만 Not gonna lie 골라봐, free, 무대위 펼쳐질 미 So I said, "Fuck it! I'm going to show my body, and if you don't like it, don't look. Screw it all, so what if I'm fat? I like dresses and lace. I'm going to wear them" To this day, I'm incapable of choosing a bias, but I have a slight preference for Hyun 👉🏻👈🏻. My lovely sunshine monkey. While waiting for XLOV's debut, I had so many anxious thoughts about whether the song would turn out well and if everything would go smoothly. Not that I ever doubted you because I know what incredible people you are, I was just worried. But as soon as I watched the 'I'mma Be' music video, I knew I was in this for the long haul. How did XLOV change me? First of all they introduced me to the world of KPOP… It is so different from other fandoms I have been in and the community can be so welcoming and sweet :) My first solo concert experience was for XLOV in Cologne!! I never thought I would go to a concert alone… especially since I was still only 18, but I really didn’t want to miss out on this chance to meet the lovies and ended up going for it without even really having a plan… It was one of the best experiences of my life and I learned so much!! XLOV has really made me step out of my comfort zone and even tho that can be stressful, I have never regretted it!! I have met so many people through XLOV and lived so many new experiences!! I feel much more confident as a young adult and that is thanks to them!! Also they have helped me figure out what kind of person I want to become and what I value… one day I hope to be as hardworking as Muti, to love what I end up doing in my life as much as Rui, to be as disciplined as Hyun and as cheerful as Haru :) They inspire me everyday by being their authentic selves and I really hope I can live as fearlessly and fiercely as them one day!! #XLOV_YourLoveYourStory #XLOVonblip
