Today we went to the abandoned research building linked to Project Mirror. The place looked like a hospital mixed with a horror maze. Dust everywhere. Dead silence. Lights flickering even though the power was supposed to be cut. We followed the blueprint and reached a strange room. Room M–4. It had no handle. No lock. Just a solid metal door with a small slit at the bottom. Arifin: “Who builds a door like this?” I tried pushing it. Nothing. Then — the silver key in my pocket became warm again. So I dropped it near the slit… And the metal door clicked by itself. It slowly slid open. Inside? A single huge mirror. Floor to ceiling. Perfectly clean. No dust. No cracks. But the room smelled like old perfume. Like someone was living there. I stepped closer. My reflection looked normal… until Arifin came next to me. In the glass, Arifin’s reflection was smiling. But the REAL Arifin wasn’t. She whispered, “Nivi… why am I smiling?” Before I could answer, the reflection of “Arifin” raised her hand and touched the glass. The real Arifin didn’t move. Then the mirror fogged from the inside. A sentence appeared: “ONLY ONE OF YOU LEAVES.” My heart stopped. The lights flickered — and the reflection Arifin suddenly looked behind us. Slow. Warning.
